SIETAR France Made in Fance et Ailleurs Webinar “Building bridges: discovering how identity shapes our connections” with Michael Sullivan

Date/Horaire
26/11/2025
18 h 00 - 19 h 00 Europe/Paris

Can we truly collaborate and build community with people whose beliefs and values differ from our own? Join us as we explore how identity shapes our understanding of others—and why empathy often falters when we encounter experiences unlike our own. Together, we’ll examine what it means to measure the space between us, identify what widens that distance, and discover practices that help us bridge it. This session invites honest reflection on how we can honor our own stories while learning to see through the eyes of another.

Michael Sullivan is an intercultural consultant, educator, and author of Building Bridges: Can We Love & Relate in a Polarized World? With over two decades of international experience across Asia, Europe, and the U.S., he has worked in education, diplomacy, and research focused on cross-cultural understanding. A former U.S. Navy veteran and State Department Fellow in Türkiye, Michael now leads SullyWorks Media LLC, where he develops programs and media that help people communicate across divides with empathy and respect.
